Tyler Morgan, a Pomona, California native, grew up in an Indian and southern family who regularly attended church. His art voyage began utilizing a pencil, an eraser, “Game Informer” magazines, and a dream to be a lawyer.
While shedding his lawyer dreams, an appreciation for his cultural roots grew, and a new love for henna crept forth and, in turn added another layer to his love for detail.
After many years of creating, Tyler Vanay Morgan finally encountered the author of his story, who made the pieces to the puzzle of his life and purpose, the son of God the Father, Jesus Christ.
As the Holy Spirit stirred and re-shaped Tyler’s heart, his art began to hold the weight and sincerity of his testimony. Faces and hands in Tyler's paintings can be seen throughout his entire body of work. The melancholic faces (self portraits) he paints look upward, symbolizing strength, hope and peace in Jesus amidst the storm clouds of life.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
